  • 8 ounces self rising flour
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 4 ounces butter
  • 2 ounces sugar castor
  • 2 ounces currants
  • 2 eggs smalls
  • 2 tablespoons milk

    Mix flour and salt, and rub in butter until like breadcrumbs.

    Add eggs and mix to a fairly stiff dough.
