- 3 oz. margarine or fat
- 3 oz. sugar
- 3 oz. raisins
- 1/2 tsp. mixed spice
- pinch of salt (optional)
- 1 medium egg, beaten
Directions

1Mix all ingredients except egg into dough.

2Add beaten egg slowly.

3Flour a board and roll dough to 1/4-inch thick.

4Cut into 2-inch squares.

5Grease skillet and cook on low; turn when brown. Cool on a cooling rack and sprinkle with sugar when cool.
