  • 1/4 lb. white chocolate (melt over hot water)
  • 1 c. butter or oleo
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 dash salt
  • 2 1/2 c. cake flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder (sift with flour)
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 c. Angel Flake coconut

Directions

    Cream butter, sugar and chocolate.

    Add eggs, one at a time, then add vanilla, salt, flour, baking powder and buttermilk.

    Stir in nuts and coconut.

    Bake at 350° for 30 minutes (layer); 75 minutes in tube pan.

    Grease and flour pans.

    Makes 3 (8-inch) layers or 2 pans.
