- 1/4 lb. white chocolate (melt over hot water)
- 1 c. butter or oleo
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 dash salt
- 2 1/2 c. cake flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder (sift with flour)
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1 c. Angel Flake coconut
Directions

1Cream butter, sugar and chocolate.

2Add eggs, one at a time, then add vanilla, salt, flour, baking powder and buttermilk.

3Stir in nuts and coconut.

4Bake at 350° for 30 minutes (layer); 75 minutes in tube pan.

5Grease and flour pans.

6Makes 3 (8-inch) layers or 2 pans.
