  • 1 lb. candied cherries (1/2 red, 1/2 green)
  • 1 lb. candied pineapple
  • 1 lb. shelled pecans
  • 4 c. flour (all-purpose)
  • 1 heaping tsp. baking powder
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 lb. butter
  • 2 oz. lemon extract
  • 8 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

    Cream the butter, eggs, sugar and 1 cup flour.

    Use other flour to coat fruit. Add to mixture. Add nuts. Add flavoring last and bake at 275°.

    Cook with a pan of water under it. Takes about 3 hours to cook. Line your ungreased tube pan with 2 layers of brown paper.
