  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. evaporated milk
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. marshmallow cream

Directions

    Combine sugar, milk, water and salt; heat to a boil over moderate heat.

    Brush sides of pan with wet pastry brush to remove sugar crystals, stirring frequently to soft ball stage (236°).

    Add butter and vanilla.

    Cool at room temperature, without stirring, until lukewarm.

    Beat until mixture holds its shape.

    Add marshmallow cream.

    Beat until thick.

    Spread in greased pan.
