- 2 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 1/2 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chopped almonds
Directions

1Combine sugar, sour cream, milk, butter, syrup and salt in saucepan.

2Cook over medium heat until sugar is dissolved and mixture comes to a boil, stirring constantly.

3Cook to 238° on candy thermometer.

4Remove from heat and let stand until lukewarm. Add vanilla.

5Beat until mixture begins to lose gloss and hold shape.

6Stir in almonds and quickly turn into buttered 8 x 8-inch pan.

7Let stand until firm before cutting.
