White Loaves

Directions

   Preheat oven to 375, or use your bread machine.

   If using bread machine, add ingredients as recommended by your manufacturer.

   If making by hand, dissolve yeast in warm water.

   Add warm milk, honey, butter and salt.

   Add enough flour to make a soft dough, and knead on a floured board until smooth and elastic, or to a count of 200.

   Let rise and double in size.

   Punch down and let rise again halfway.

   Roll into 2 loaves and place in 2 greased loaf pans.

   Let rise to about 1 1/2 inches above the pan top.

    Bake at 375 for approximately 35 minutes, or until the loaves sound hollow when tapped.

    near the end of the baking time, lower the oven temperature to 350.

    Remove from oven and let cool.
