- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 4 Tbsp. cold butter
- 3/4 c. milk
Directions

1Sift flour, baking powder and salt.

2Return any particles left in sifter to bowl.

3Cut butter into dry ingredients.

4Add egg and milk; mix.

5Add more liquid, if needed, to pat out lightly on floured board to 1/2-inch thickness.

6Cut with 2-inch biscuit cutter and place on buttered baking sheet.
