- 12 cup butter or 12 cup margarine
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar or 1 tablespoon splenda sugar substitute
- 34 cup nonfat milk
Directions

1Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

2Cut the butter or margarine into the dry ingredients with a fork or pastry blender until the mixture resembles coarse cornmeal.

3Stir in the milk a small bit at a time, adding just enough so that the dough rounds up and leaves the sides of the bowl.

4Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and roll it out until it is 1/2-inch thick.

5Then with a 2 1/2-inch biscuit cutter, cut out the biscuits and place them on an ungreased baking sheet.

6Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, or stick a tooth pick in the center.

7If it comes out clean and not gooey that means they are done.

8Serve hot with butter or jam.
