  • 3/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. rubbed sage
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 4 c. whole wheat bread cubes
  • 4 c. white bread cubes
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 c. water
