Ingredients
- 2 cups wholemeal plain flour
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup wheat germ
- 250 g butter or 250 g margarine
- 14 cup water
Directions

1Sift flour and salt into bowl, add husks left in sifter.

2Add wheatgerm, lightly mix it into flour.

3Rub in butter till mix resembles course breadcrumbs.

4Add water, mix to a firm dough.

5Knead lightly on a floured and divide in half.

6Roll out one half to fit 23cm pie plate.

7Spoon filling of choice into pastry cas.
-
8Roll out remaining pastry to cover pie dish.

9Trim and pinch edges together.
-
10Brush top lightly with water.
-
11Make a small slit in top of pastrt.
-
12Bake pie in moderate oven till pastry is golden, 35 - 45 mins.
