Ingredients
- 3 grouse, cleaned and cut into serving pieces
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 tsp. each: salt and pepper
- garlic salt to taste
- 1 c. flour
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/2 c. vegetable oil
- 1 can mushroom soup
- 1 c. water
Directions

1Dip pieces of grouse in mixture of egg, milk and spices, then roll in flour.

2Put butter and oil in skillet and heat to frying temperature.

3Brown pieces well on all sides.

4Remove from skillet and place in single layer in baking dish.

5Add drippings from skillet to soup and mix well.

6Spoon over grouse.
-
7Add water to bottom of dish.

8Cover.
-
9Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until tender. Serves 4 to 6.
