- 4 slices bacon
- 1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 c. cabbage, shredded
- 1 1/2 c. apples, peeled and chopped
Directions

1Cook bacon until crisp in a large skillet.

2Remove bacon and drain on paper towels.

3Reserve drippings in skillet.

4Saute pepper in drippings until tender.

5Stir in vinegar, water, sugar and salt.

6Bring to a boil.

7Add cabbage and apples; toss gently. Cover and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes.

8Spoon into serving dish.

9Crumble bacon and sprinkle over top.
