  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 3 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 cup raisins

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).

    Beat oil, sugar and eggs. Add molasses, vanilla, and water.

    Stir in dry ingredients.

    Drop by teaspoons on cookie sheets sprayed with non stick spray.

    Bake for 15 minutes. Cool tray slightly before removing.
