Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
  • 1/2 tsp. celery seed
  • 7 c. thinly sliced cucumbers
  • 2 c. thinly sliced onions

Directions

    In a large saucepan, combine sugar, vinegar, salt, mustard seed and celery seed.

    Bring to boiling, stirring just until sugar dissolves.

    Remove from heat.

    Add cucumbers and onions.

    Cool. Put in container.

    Chill in refrigerator 24 hours to 1 month. Makes 7 cups.
