Ingredients
- 1 qt. milk
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- about 11 c. flour
Directions

1Scald milk; add sugar, shortening and salt.

2Cool.

3Dissolve yeast in the 1/2 teaspoon sugar and warm water.

4Mix with cool milk mixture.

5Add flour to make a soft dough.

6Turn onto floured board and knead a couple of minutes until smooth.

7Place in well-greased, covered bowl in refrigerator until thoroughly chilled.

8Cut off what you will need for amount of biscuits you want.

9Let rise until double.
-
10Bake at 350° for 25 minutes or until browned.

11Keep remaining dough in refrigerator and use as needed.
