Winter Fruit Salad

  • 4 large pitted prunes, halved
  • 1/4 tsp. ground allspice
  • 1 small orange, peeled
  • 2 c. cubed fresh pineapple
  • 1 medium banana, sliced
  • 1 small red apple, cored and cubed

Directions

    In small saucepan, place prunes and allspice with 1 cup water. Bring to boil; reduce heat to low and simmer 10 minutes.

    Set aside to cool.

    Cut orange over medium bowl to catch juices.
  4. 4
    Add remaining fruits and prune mixture to bowl and stir gently to mix. Serve at once, or cover and refrigerate.
