- 1 c. boiling water
- 1/2 c. Wesson oil
- 1 stick margarine
- 4 Tbsp. cocoa (heaping)
- 2 c. white sugar
- 2 c. flour (do not sift)
- 2 eggs (whole)
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Combine the first 4 ingredients and heat until blended.

2Do not set back on stove and heat.

3Pour the mixture into a large bowl with the white sugar, flour and eggs.

4Be sure and mix sugar and flour together before adding eggs.

5Beat mixture and add buttermilk with soda, salt and vanilla.

6Bake at 375° or lower for 25 to 30 minutes.

7This can be baked in a 9 x 13-inch dish.
