Ingredients
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 3 lb. beef, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1/4 c. oil
- 3 c. water
- 1/2 c. dry red wine
- 2 beef bouillon cubes
- 3 medium potatoes, cut into 2 x 2 1/2-inch pieces
- 3 medium carrots, cut into 2 x 2 1/2-inch pieces
- 3 stalks celery, cut into 2 x 2 1/2-inch pieces
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1 to 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh dill
- 1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
Directions

1Combine flour, salt and pepper.

2Coat meat.

3Brown in oil in large Dutch oven.

4Drain.

5Add any remaining flour mixture, water, wine and bouillon cubes.

6Bring to boil.

7Cover and simmer 1 hour and 30 minutes.

8Add potatoes, carrots, celery and onion.

9Bring to boil.

10Cover and continue simmering 1 hour or until meat and vegetables are tender.

11Stir in dill and parsley.

12Makes 8 servings.
