- 4 yams or sweet potatoes, about 2 pounds
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 18 teaspoon nutmeg
Directions

1Place the yams in a saucepan and add cold water to cover.

2Bring to a boil and simmer for 30 minutes or until done.

4Peel yams when cool enough to handle.

5Cut into 1-inch cubes and put them through a food mill or ricer.

6Put the yams in a saucepan and add remaining ingredients.
