- 3 Tbsp. salad oil
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato
- 4 medium carrots, diced
- 4 stalks celery, diced
- 1 medium turnips, diced
- 2 medium onion, diced
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Directions

1About 4 hours before serving, in Dutch oven over medium heat, in hot salad oil, brown the meat well on all sides.

2Add remaining ingredients with 1 1/2 cups water and heat until boiling.

3Reduce heat; cook until fork-tender.

4Serve meat with pan liquid.
