- 1 cake yeast
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1 tsp. salt
- 5 c. flour
Directions

1Cook the potato in the water. Run the potato and water through strainer.

2Let cool and add the remaining ingredients.

3Put in large bowl.

4Keep in refrigerator, taking out enough dough each time to make the number of biscuits desired. Brush with butter. Let rise.

5Bake at 450°.
