- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 3/4 c. vegetable oil
- 2 c. buttermilk
- 5 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1Preheat oven 425°.

2Mix all dry ingredients together in large bowl; set aside.

3Dissolve yeast in very warm water, then add oil and buttermilk.

4Pour this mixture into dry ingredient mixture. Mix well, turn out onto well-floured cutting board (or pastry sheet) and knead lightly until dough is well-floured; now pat out to 1/2-inch thick.

5Cut biscuits and put on baking sheet.

6Bake until brown.
