  • 2 c. sifted self-rising flour
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1/2 tsp. soda

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water. Add milk to which the soda has been dissolved.

    Mix.

    Knead dough lightly.

    Roll and cut out biscuits.

    Put in greased pan.

    Let rise 1 hour. Bake at 425°.
