- 2 c. sifted self-rising flour
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1/2 tsp. soda
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water. Add milk to which the soda has been dissolved.

2Mix.

3Knead dough lightly.

4Roll and cut out biscuits.

5Put in greased pan.

6Let rise 1 hour. Bake at 425°.
