- 1 c. lukewarm water
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. melted shortening
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in water.

3Stir yeast mixture into dry.

4Add shortening.

5Knead on floured board until smooth.

6Roll out 1/2-inch.

7Cut into biscuits; let rise 1 hour. Bake in hot oven until brown.
