Yeast Dinner Rolls

- 2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. salt
- 7 c. flour
Directions

1Scald milk and pour into large mixing bowl with cover.

2Add sugar and shortening.

3Let cool until warm (about like milk for a baby).

4Dissolve yeast in warm water and add to milk mixture.

5Add 4 cups flour and beat well.

6(This will be thin.)

7Let rise until double in bulk (about an hour).

8Stir in baking powder, soda, salt and enough flour to make a stiff dough.

9Cover and put in refrigerator until cold or next day.

10Make in rolls and let rise until double.

11Bake at 375° about 15 minutes, depending on oven. This dough will keep 2 or 3 days in refrigerator.
