Yeast Dumplings

Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. flour
- 1 1/2 pkg. dry yeast
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 Tbsp. melted, lukewarm butter or margarine
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. lukewarm milk (whole milk)
Directions

1Thoroughly mix the flour and the yeast in a bowl.

2Put in all other ingredients.

3Knead everything together until you have a dough.

4Let dough rise on warm place until it doubles the size. Knead again.

5Form into a roll and cut into 8 pieces.

6Flour your hands and form dumplings.

7Put them on a floured cookie sheet.

8Let them rise until they are doubled.
-
9Put a dish towel over a wide pot with boiling water and fasten to pot handles.

10Sprinkle with flour. Put dumplings on top and cover with a bowl.

11Cook approximately 15 to 20 minutes.

12Test with a toothpick.

13Serve with melted butter, sugar and cinnamon.
