- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 6 1/2 c. self-rising flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 1/2 c. warm water
Directions

1Mix 1 cup warm water, yeast and flour.

2Cover bowl and let stand for 30 minutes.

3Add rest of water, flour, shortening and sugar.

4Refrigerate until ready to use.

5Let rise 2 hours before cooking.

6Bake at 450° until golden brown.
