- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 3/4 c. lukewarm water
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening or less
- 2 c. plain flour
Directions

1Sprinkle yeast over water and let dissolve.

2Add shortening, sugar and flour.

3Mix together.

4Knead and roll and cut out.

5Let rise 20 minutes.

6Bake at 350° until done.

7Makes about 1 dozen.
