Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 1 c. hot water
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 3/4 c. oil
  • 2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 5 c. self-rising flour

Directions

    Mix yeast, hot water and sugar.

    Let stand 10 minutes. Add the oil, buttermilk and soda.

    Stir; add the flour.

    Mix well. Chill in refrigerator 2 hours or overnight, covered.

    Take amount necessary and roll out on floured board. Bake at 400° until browned.

    Dough will keep at least 1 week in refrigerator.
