- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 1/3 c. self-rising flour
- 1/2 cake yeast
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
Directions

1Add beaten egg to milk; mix well with yeast and sugar dissolved in water.

2Cut shortening into flour with liquid to form a soft ball.

3Knead gently on floured board.

4Roll and cut.

5Place on greased pan; brush with butter.

6Let stand and rise until doubled in size.

7Bake.
