- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 c. lukewarm water
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. shortening, melted and cooled
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 1/4 c. flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in water and add sugar, shortening, salt and 1 cup flour.

2Beat at medium speed. Add remaining flour. If sticky, add a little more flour.

3Let rise.

4Knead and let rise again. Make into rolls and let rise again. Bake at 400° for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.

5Makes 20 to 24 rolls.
