Ingredients

  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 1 1/2 pkg. yeast
  • 4 c. flour
  • 2 eggs

Directions

    Pour boiling water over sugar, Crisco and salt.

    When lukewarm, pour over yeast.

    When yeast dissolves, add eggs.

    Mix well with flour.

    Let rise before mashing down and rolling out. Roll on floured surface about 1/2-inch thick.

    Cut.

    Dip in butter and put in greased round cake pan.

    Place one roll on top of another to make two layers.

    Let rise about 1 1/2 hours.

    Bake at 400° for 15 minutes, or until brown.
