- 2 to 4 Tbsp. warm water
- 5 c. White Lily self-rising flour
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 c. shortening
- 2 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water; set aside.

2Stir flour and sugar together.

3Cut in shortening until size of peas.

4Mix buttermilk with yeast water.

5Add to flour mixture.

6Stir with fork until moistened.

7May be covered and refrigerated overnight.
