- 1 c. scalded milk
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 cake fresh yeast
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
Directions

1Soften yeast in warm water.

2Mix shortening, sugar, salt and 1 cup flour.

3Add remaining flour and yeast mixture.

4Let rise to double in size.

5Pinch dough into small balls and place 3 balls in each greased muffin hole.

6Bake at 400° for 10 to 15 minutes.
