  • 1 Tbsp. oil
  • 4 c. water
  • 1 c. dry yellow peas
  • 1 onion, cut up fine
  • 2 carrots, cut up fine
  • 1 rib celery, cut up fine
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. tamari (soy sauce)
  • 2 Tbsp. chicken stock concentrate
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • 1/2 tsp. curry
  • 1/2 tsp. turmeric

Directions

    Bring first 9 ingredients to a boil and simmer 45 minutes. Adjust salt and add cumin, turmeric and curry.

    Simmer 45 minutes.
