- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 None large eggs, separated
- 2 1/4 cups self-rising flour, sifted
- 1/2 tsp baking soda, sifted
- 1/3 cup finely chopped blanched almonds
- 1 1/4 cups yogurt
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease an 8x12 inch rimmed baking pan and line base and sides with parchment paper.

2In a stand mixer, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg yolks until combined. Stir in flour and baking soda then fold in nuts and yogurt. Whip egg whites to soft peaks then fold in. Transfer to prepared pan and bake for 35 mins. Turn cake out onto a wire rack to cool.
