Yogurt Pound Cake

  • 1 c. butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. grated orange rind
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 (8 oz.) carton peach yogurt (any flavor yogurt may be used)

    Cream butter.

    Add sugar, beating well.

    Add eggs, one at a time, and beat after each addition.

    Combine flour, baking soda and salt.

    Add to creamed mixture, mixing until just blended.

    Add orange rind, vanilla and yogurt.

    Mix well.

    Pour batter into a well-greased and floured 10-inch Bundt pan.

    Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until cake tests done.
