Yogurt Wheat Bread

Ingredients
- 2 c. whole wheat flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. sugar or honey
- 1 Tbsp. margarine
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 3/4 c. plain, nonfat yogurt
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375°.

2Combine flour, baking powder and baking soda in a mixing bowl.

3Add sugar (if used instead of honey).

4Cut margarine into flour mixture.

5Mix together the milk and yogurt (and honey, if using in place of sugar).

6Add to flour mixture and stir until ingredients are blended.

7Remove dough from bowl and roll out on floured surface.

8Shape into a ball.

9Cut ball in half and shape each half into an oval.

10Slit center of each oval. Place on greased cookie sheet several inches apart.

11Bake 30 minutes.

12Loaves should be golden brown and sound hollow when tapped with fingertips.
