- 1/2 c. flour
- pinch of salt
- 1 egg
- 1/2 pt. milk
Directions

1Mix all ingredients, adding milk gradually.

2Cover and let stand 1/2 hour.

3Preheat oven to 425° (this is the secret to success).

4Muffin tins should be greased and very hot prior to placing batter in them.

5Only pour about 1/2 inch into each tin. Cook approximately 10 to 15 minutes.

6It should rise and brown. If taken out too early, it will be soggy.

7If oven and tin are not hot enough, it won't brown.

8Normally served with roast beef, potatoes and gravy.
