- 1 c. shortening
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. light brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. plain flour
- 2 c. oatmeal
- 2 c. Rice Krispies
- 1 c. pecans, chopped
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cream shortening and sugars.

2Add eggs and sifted dry ingredients; mix well.

3Add oatmeal, Rice Krispies, nuts and vanilla.

4Drop by teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheet. Batter will be stiff and hard to drop.

5Bake at 300° for 25 to 30 minutes.

6Makes about 5 dozen.
