- 1 c. butter
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp. almond extract
- 1 c. chopped pecans
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar.

2Add eggs one at a time.

3Sift flour, salt and baking powder 3 times.

4Add flour and milk to creamed mixture.

5Add extracts.

6Divide evenly in 3 greased 9-inch cake pans.

7Bake in a 325° oven for 25 to 30 minutes, until tester comes out clean.

8Cool in pan 5 to 10 minutes.

9Remove from pans and cool on racks.

10Make sure cake bottom is next to rack.
