- 4 slices bacon
- 1 c. finely chopped onion
- 1/2 c. finely chopped green bell pepper
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 (15 oz.) can pinto beans, rinsed and drained
- 3/4 c. barbecue sauce
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar, firmly packed
Directions

1In a large skillet, cook bacon over low heat until crisp, turning occasionally.

2Remove from skillet and drain.

3Remove all but 2 tablespoons drippings from skillet.

4Add onion, bell pepper and garlic.

5Cook and stir over medium heat 3 to 5 minutes or until tender.

6Stir in remaining ingredients.

7Crumble bacon; return to skillet.

8Cover and cook 5 minutes or until heated through, stirring occasionally.
