- 7 slices white bread
- 3/4 lb. American or Cheddar cheese, grated
- 2 c. cooked ham or sausage, chopped
- 8 eggs
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. dry mustard
- dash of pepper
- 2 1/2 c. milk
Directions

1Trim crusts from bread.

2Butter one side.

3Cut bread into 1-inch cubes.

4Place buttered side up in a 9 x 13-inch glass dish. Beat together milk, eggs, salt, pepper and mustard.

5Pour over bread.

6Add meat.

7Top with cheese.

8Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.

9Bake, covered, at 350° for 1 1/2 hours, uncovering the last 10 minutes.
