- 7 lb. cucumbers
- 2 c. lime
- 1 c. salt
- 1/2 box mixed pickling spices
- 2 qt. vinegar
- 6 lb. sugar
- 1/2 c. alum
Directions

1Cut cucumbers into thin slices.

2Wash and soak in lime water overnight.

3Wash well and soak in salt water four hours.

4Drain and soak in cold water two hours.

5Drain again and bring to a full rolling boil in alum water.

6Drain and rinse.

7Cook 30 minutes in vinegar, spices and sugar.

8Pack either hot or cold.
