- 1/4 cup warm water
- 2 (1/4 ounce) yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- 2 tablespoons shortening, melted
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 egg
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water.

2Add warm milk, melted shortening, salt, 1 1/2 cup flour, sugar and egg.

3Beat very hard, then add the remaining 1 1/2 cup flour.

4Let rise 15 minutes.

5Knead and form into rolls.

6Let rise, then bake at 400° for 15 minutes.
