- 1 c. rice (uncooked)
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1/2 c. finely chopped onion
- 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
- 1 can tomato sauce, seasoned
- 1 c. whole kernel corn, drained
- 1/2 can water
- 3/4 lb. uncooked ground beef
- 4 strips bacon, cut in half
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2Place ingredients in layers in a 2-quart baking dish with tight fitting lid.

3Place rice and corn in the dish; sprinkle with salt and pepper.

4Pour 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce and 1/2 can water over this layer.

5Add onion, green pepper and hamburger, seasoned with salt and pepper.

6Pour can of tomato sauce and 1/4 can of water over all.

7Cover meat with 4 strips of bacon.

8Cover dish and bake at 350° for 1 hour.

9Uncover and bake 30 minutes longer.

10Makes 4 to 6 servings.
