- 3 c. sugar
- 2 sticks butter (not margarine), softened
- 1/2 c. crisco
- 5 eggs (room temperature)
- 3 c. all purpose flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. lemon flavoring
- 1 scant c. chilled 7 up
Directions

1Cream sugar, butter and shortening.

2Add eggs one at a time and continue beating.

3Add flour gradually.

4Add vanilla and lemon flavoring.

5Last, slowly add 7 up.

6Pour into greased and floured tube or bundt pan.

7Bake at 325° for approximately one hour, five minutes.

8Let cool for 20 minutes before removing from pan.
