Ingredients
- 1 gal. medium cucumbers
- 4 Tbsp. pickling spice
- 4 Tbsp. alum
- 4 Tbsp. salt
- vinegar
- 1 c. sugar to 2 c. cukes (after sliced)
Directions

1Wash cukes and pack in gallon jars.

2Add to each jar: pickling spice, alum and salt.

3Cover this with vinegar and let sit for 90 days.

4After 90 days, remove from jars and pour out vinegar. Rinse off and slice real thin.

5Add 1 cup sugar to every 2 cups cukes and set overnight.

6Stir as often as you can.

7Put in any container and pour juice over the cukes.

8Containers do not have to be sterilized or sealed.
