A Lighter Pecan Pie

  • 1 whole Large Egg
  • 4 whole Large Egg Whites
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Corn Syrup
  • 2/3 cups Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 cup Pecan Halves
  • 1 whole Frozen Pie Crust (I Use Marie Callender's)

Directions

    In a mixer, beat the egg, egg whites, vanilla extract, corn syrup, brown sugar and salt together at a medium speed. Mix in the pecans.

    Pour into the pre-made pie crust and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes. Remove from the oven, cover with foil and bake for a further 15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted. Cool on a wire rack for at least 1 hour before serving.
